Thanksgiving

At almost a month old Zane's first real big outings were to see family for Thanksgiving. The McLain family celebration is always the Sunday before the holiday and of course we all went to Mom's for the day. We were running a few minutes late and of course everyone was waiting for us! It was a great day and everyone loved seeing Zane.

Of course Nana (my mom) had warned everyone that Zane would not be passed around and that if anyone were to hold him it would be her. Well at one point when I was done changing him Aunt Vickie asked to hold and I gave him to her, telling her it was at her own risk when Nana found out and sure enough, as soon as the door opened Nana radar spotted him in the arms of Vickie and from across the porch she pointed and loudly said "No!" which in turn made Vickie pass him off to her quickly!! It was a funny scene!

After Nana had her fill he was passed around a little and all was well. We stayed after everyone left so that Nana could get her personal time with him and she was so thankful. We all were and we had so much to be thankful for this holiday.

On actual Thanksgiving day our first stop was Fun Gran's house (Tony's mom) where is was calm with just the immediate family of Bea, Alicia, TJ and Aliana. We had a great visit and meal, then headed to Pops and G-mama's house. Jeff, Amy and Hunter came down from Dallas and they were anxiously awaiting the introduction to Zane. That was a great visit as well and good eats too!

On Friday we made more rounds as we went to see Granda, Sharon and Lisa and spent some time at Judy & Edwards where Kimble met Zane for the first time and is ready to start teaching him stuff!! It was so precious!!
